How to play Voice Blaster

Voice Blaster is a free voice controlled game you can play online with no download. Your blaster moves when you say LEFT or RIGHT. Say FIRE (or “shoot”, “bang”) to blast. Stop the alien drones before they reach the bottom! Because you play with sound instead of buttons, Voice Blaster is great for parties, kids and streamers, and every round takes only a minute or two.

Open Voice Blaster and allow microphone access when your browser asks (the front camera is only used as a live background and is optional).

Controls

Make a sound (shout, hum, sing or clap) to trigger the main action.
Louder or longer sounds give a stronger action; silence lets go.
Use the sensitivity slider at the bottom if the game reacts too much or too little.

Tips

Play in a quiet room first, then raise the sensitivity for noisy places.
Short, sharp sounds give the most precise timing.
Grab power-ups such as shields and slow motion to survive the hard waves.

Voice Blaster game guide

Goal of the game

In Voice Blaster you play with spoken command words. Your blaster moves when you say LEFT or RIGHT. Say FIRE (or “shoot”, “bang”) to blast. Stop the alien drones before they reach the bottom!

Each run in Voice Blaster lasts until you lose your 3 lives, so the real goal is to survive longer and beat your own best score.

Quick start

After a game over, press Play again to try to beat your best.

Controls explained

Say the command words clearly and one at a time; Voice Blaster listens through your browser's speech recognition.

If Voice Blaster feels too hard at first, play a practice round to learn the timing before chasing a high score.

Scoring and levels

You start with 3 lives. Your best score is saved in your browser, and signed-in players also appear on the Voice Blaster leaderboard.

Tips and strategy

Aim at the nearest threat first in Voice Blaster; letting one slip through costs more than a missed shot.
Play Voice Blaster in a quiet room, then try it at a party — the louder the crowd, the funnier it gets.
Replay Voice Blaster a few times: each run teaches you the patterns, and scores usually double after the first five games.

Device requirements and privacy

Voice Blaster needs a microphone — the one built into your phone, laptop or headset is enough. Allow microphone access when asked; the sound is analysed live in your browser and never uploaded. It is free to play; free players may see a short ad between rounds (never during play), and Premium removes all ads.
