Stake Spinner game guide

Goal of the game

In Stake Spinner you play with your face and head movements. A vampire rides a spinning coffin wheel. BLINK to throw a wooden stake up into it. Stakes stick in the wheel and spin with it — if your new stake hits one that is already stuck, it bounces off and you lose a life!

Hit the floating ghosts on the rim for bonus. Fill the wheel to smash it. Move your NOSE to grab power-ups.

Quick start

Stake Spinner in one line: Blink to hurl stakes into the vampire’s spinning wheel — never hit a stake twice!

  • Press Play on this page — Stake Spinner loads in a few seconds right in the browser.
  • Tap Allow when the browser asks for the camera, then read the short tutorial card.
  • Play your first run of Stake Spinner slowly to learn how it reacts to your face and head movements.
  • After a game over, press Play again to try to beat your best.

Controls explained

  • Quick reminder shown in Stake Spinner: Blink = throw stake · nose = grab power-ups.
  • Sit facing the camera with your whole face in view; Stake Spinner reads your nose position, blinks and mouth on your own device.
  • Exaggerate actions a little — a clear blink or wide-open mouth registers more reliably in Stake Spinner than a tiny one.
  • If Stake Spinner feels too hard at first, play a practice round to learn the timing before chasing a high score.

Scoring and levels

Points in Stake Spinner come from the code-defined rewards of 10 and 50 points for different actions, so the bigger moves are worth chasing. Every 300 points you reach a new level, and Stake Spinner speeds up and sends more at you each time. You start with 3 lives. Your best score is saved in your browser, and signed-in players also appear on the Stake Spinner leaderboard.

Power-ups

Power-up orbs appear every few seconds in Stake Spinner. Touch or collect them to activate:

  • ⏳ Slow-Mo (6 s): slows the whole game down so you can line up precise moves.
  • 2️⃣ Double Points (10 s): doubles every point you earn while it lasts.
  • 🛡️ Shield (10 s): blocks the next hit so a mistake does not cost a life.
  • ❤️ Extra Life: adds one life (up to six).

Characters and world

The 3D world of Stake Spinner features vampires, keepers, ghosts and pumpkin carveds. Learning how each one moves is the key to reading the screen quickly.

Tips and strategy

  • Don't chase every pickup in Stake Spinner — grab only the ones on your safe path.
  • Save your focus for the moment a Freeze or Slow-Mo starts — that is when Stake Spinner gives you free points.
  • With a Shield active, play aggressively in Stake Spinner; the next mistake is free.
  • Good, even lighting from the front makes tracking in Stake Spinner far more reliable than a bright window behind you.
  • Replay Stake Spinner a few times: each run teaches you the patterns, and scores usually double after the first five games.

Device requirements and privacy

Stake Spinner needs a front-facing or web camera and works in Chrome, Edge and Safari on phones, tablets and computers. Allow camera access when asked; face tracking runs on your device and nothing is recorded or uploaded unless you choose to record a clip yourself. It is free to play; free players may see a short ad between rounds (never during play), and Premium removes all ads.
