How to play Shout Road Hopper
Shout Road Hopper is a free voice controlled game you can play online with no download. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because you SHOUTED! Hop lane by lane, dodge the traffic. Because you play with sound instead of buttons, Shout Road Hopper is great for parties, kids and streamers, and every round takes only a minute or two.
Open Shout Road Hopper and allow microphone access when your browser asks (the front camera is only used as a live background and is optional).
Controls
- Make a sound (shout, hum, sing or clap) to trigger the main action.
- Louder or longer sounds give a stronger action; silence lets go.
- Use the sensitivity slider at the bottom if the game reacts too much or too little.
Tips
- Play in a quiet room first, then raise the sensitivity for noisy places.
- Short, sharp sounds give the most precise timing.

Shout Road Hopper game guide
Goal of the game
In Shout Road Hopper you play with the loudness of your voice. Every short loud SHOUT ("HOP! ", "HEY! ") makes the chicken hop forward one lane.
Time your shouts between the cars, trucks and logs-of-traffic. Grass lanes are safe. Grab 🪙 coins on the way. Wait too long and the EAGLE swoops in — keep moving! Traffic gets faster each level. Power-ups: Freeze (stops cars), Slow-Mo, Shield, Double, Heart. Use the 🎚️ mic slider; in Practice mode click to hop.
