How to play Kite Wind
Kite Wind is a free voice controlled game you can play online with no download. Your voice is the wind — keep the kite inside the glowing green band! Because you play with sound instead of buttons, Kite Wind is great for parties, kids and streamers, and every round takes only a minute or two.
Open Kite Wind and allow microphone access when your browser asks (the front camera is only used as a live background and is optional).
Controls
- Make a sound (shout, hum, sing or clap) to trigger the main action.
- Louder or longer sounds give a stronger action; silence lets go.
- Use the sensitivity slider at the bottom if the game reacts too much or too little.
Tips
- Play in a quiet room first, then raise the sensitivity for noisy places.
- Short, sharp sounds give the most precise timing.
- Grab power-ups such as shields and slow motion to survive the hard waves.

Kite Wind game guide
Goal of the game
In Kite Wind you play with the loudness of your voice. Your voice is the wind under the kite: blow, hum or say "whooo" LOUDER to lift it higher and go QUIETER to let it sink. Keep the kite inside the moving GREEN BAND to score every second — stay in a long time for streak bonuses. Gusts shove the kite around, and birds fly through the sky: bump one and you lose a life.
Leaving the band for too long also costs a life. Grab power-ups with the kite: Shield, Slow-Mo, Double. Tune the 🎚️ sensitivity slider for your room.

Controls explained
- Quick reminder shown in Kite Wind: 🌬️ Louder = kite flies higher · quieter = lower.
- Short, loud sounds trigger instant actions in Kite Wind; a steady sound holds the action for longer.
- Use the sensitivity slider if Kite Wind reacts to background noise or misses your voice.
- If Kite Wind feels too hard at first, play a practice round to learn the timing before chasing a high score.
Scoring and levels
Points in Kite Wind come from the code-defined rewards of 10 points for different actions, so the bigger moves are worth chasing. Every 300 points you reach a new level, and Kite Wind speeds up and sends more at you each time. You start with 3 lives. Your best score is saved in your browser, and signed-in players also appear on the Kite Wind leaderboard.
Power-ups
Power-up orbs appear every few seconds in Kite Wind. Touch or collect them to activate:
- 🛡️ Shield (10 s): blocks the next hit so a mistake does not cost a life.
- ⏳ Slow-Mo (6 s): slows the whole game down so you can line up precise moves.
- 2️⃣ Double Points (10 s): doubles every point you earn while it lasts.
Characters and world
The 3D world of Kite Wind features females, pigeons and coins. Learning how each one moves is the key to reading the screen quickly.
Tips and strategy
- Don't chase every pickup in Kite Wind — grab only the ones on your safe path.
- Rhythm matters in Kite Wind: watch one full cycle before you act, then act on the beat.
- Save your focus for the moment a Freeze or Slow-Mo starts — that is when Kite Wind gives you free points.
- With a Shield active, play aggressively in Kite Wind; the next mistake is free.
- Play Kite Wind in a quiet room, then try it at a party — the louder the crowd, the funnier it gets.
- Replay Kite Wind a few times: each run teaches you the patterns, and scores usually double after the first five games.
Device requirements and privacy
Kite Wind needs a microphone — the one built into your phone, laptop or headset is enough. Allow microphone access when asked; the sound is analysed live in your browser and never uploaded. It is free to play; free players may see a short ad between rounds (never during play), and Premium removes all ads.
